Lok Thian
After 3 years and more of "cuts and pastes", call-overs, draft accounts, AR-ing, auditing and deferred tax….. my friend who indirectly brought me into Ernst & Young (EY) had call it quit. I would not have applied EY if it wasn’t for her, as she’s the one who made known to me that there was a vacancy in the firm back then. I’ve known her more than her years serving in EY. She’s my aunty’s best friend… and i’ve been calling her ‘aunty’ ever since I knew that fact!
Her farewell celebration was celebrated together with another colleague of mine who is resigning as well, and also a birthday celebration for some other colleagues. Looks like its killing two birds with one stone eh? The dinner was in Lok Thian… and it was structured in such a way that it was as if a wedding rehearsal dinner for Judy and Heng… yea, the lovebirds (so as you know, Judy’s my aunty, the farewell celebrant and Heng’s her other half). Of course, there was a YAM SENG!!!
The food was kinda… unique, I would say. Check this out.. its a roasted duck dipped in mayonnaise! Its very filling, and it tasted… weird. I ‘m used to of having roasted duck with the sweet brown sticky sauce, u know… not mayonnaise… and the best place to have such duck in Kuching will be Li Garden. Damn, thinking of it now made me drool!!
The other highlight of the evening was how Eunice was clad. WEE WIT… many commented she looked fantabalous in that short skirt! WOHHHHH!!! Wonder if she’ll coordinate her wardrobe in such fashion, after her attire was so well-received by the general public… hehehehe….. ;p
